Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the PriceSpan website, installed web application, and related services. By using PriceSpan, you agree to these Terms.
1. Current development status
PriceSpan is currently a private, pre-launch product undergoing development and testing. Features may be incomplete, unavailable, changed, or removed without notice.
Test results, demonstration listings, and marketplace information may not represent the final public product.
2. What PriceSpan provides
PriceSpan is a marketplace discovery and comparison service. It may display listing information received through authorized APIs, affiliate feeds, partnerships, demonstration data, or other permitted sources.
PriceSpan does not currently sell products, process payments, hold inventory, arrange shipping, or become a party to transactions between users, marketplaces, buyers, or sellers.
3. Third-party marketplaces
Listings displayed by PriceSpan originate from independent third-party marketplaces. Those marketplaces control their listings, accounts, sellers, payments, shipping, returns, dispute procedures, and privacy practices.
When you select a listing, you may be redirected to the original marketplace. Your use of that marketplace is governed by its own terms and policies.
Displaying a marketplace or listing does not imply that the marketplace endorses, sponsors, certifies, or partners with PriceSpan unless PriceSpan expressly states otherwise.
4. Listing accuracy
PriceSpan attempts to present useful listing information, but it does not guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete, current, authentic, available, lawful, or suitable for your needs.
Prices, taxes, fees, shipping charges, local pickup details, item conditions, seller information, and availability may change. Always verify the final information on the original marketplace before purchasing or contacting a seller.
5. Price comparisons
Displayed total prices may be estimates based on the information a marketplace provides. Taxes, service charges, location-dependent costs, negotiated prices, or other expenses may not be included.
A “best,” “lowest,” or similarly described price refers only to the listings and information available to PriceSpan at that time. It does not guarantee the lowest price available anywhere.
6. Local pickup safety
PriceSpan does not supervise local transactions. If you arrange a local pickup through a marketplace, use appropriate caution. Consider meeting in a well-lit public location, bringing another person, inspecting the item before payment, and following the marketplace’s safety guidance.
Do not share unnecessary personal, financial, or location information with unknown individuals.
7. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you are under 18, use PriceSpan only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use PriceSpan to:
- Violate any law or another person’s rights
- Scrape, harvest, copy, or automatically extract PriceSpan or marketplace data
- Circumvent security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions
- Interfere with PriceSpan, its servers, APIs, or participating marketplaces
- Introduce malware, harmful code, or fraudulent content
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with PriceSpan or a marketplace
- Use PriceSpan listing data to build an unauthorized competing database or service
9. Intellectual property
PriceSpan’s name, logo, interface, original software, text, organization, and other original materials are owned by PriceSpan or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Marketplace names, logos, listing images, descriptions, and other third-party content remain the property of their respective owners. No ownership of third-party content is transferred to PriceSpan or to you.
10. Saved and compared listings
Saved listings and comparison selections may be stored only on your device. They may be lost if you clear browser data, remove the installed application, change devices, or use private browsing.
PriceSpan does not guarantee that saved listings will remain available on the original marketplace.
11. Service availability
PriceSpan may experience interruptions, errors, API limitations, outdated information, or provider outages. Marketplace access may be changed or terminated by a provider.
PriceSpan may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
12. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, PriceSpan is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
PriceSpan does not warrant that the service will always be available, secure, accurate, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
13. Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, PriceSpan is not responsible for losses resulting from third-party listings, sellers, buyers, marketplaces, transactions, payment disputes, counterfeit or unsafe products, shipping, local meetings, or reliance on listing information.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Suspension and termination
PriceSpan may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, marketplace providers, or legal rights, or when these Terms are violated.
15. Governing law
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Changes to these Terms
PriceSpan may update these Terms as the product develops. The effective date will be revised when material changes are made. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
