Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PriceSpan (“PriceSpan,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the PriceSpan website, installed web application, and related services.

1. Current development status

PriceSpan is currently a private, pre-launch product undergoing development and testing. Its features, data practices, and marketplace integrations may change before public release.

2. Information you provide

PriceSpan may process information that you enter into the application, including:

PriceSpan does not currently provide user accounts or intentionally store server-side user profiles.

3. Information stored on your device

Saved listings, comparison selections, cached application files, and similar preferences may be stored locally in your browser or installed application. This allows these features to work without creating a PriceSpan account.

You can remove locally stored information by clearing the website’s data in your browser or removing the installed application. Removing local data may delete saved listings and other preferences.

4. Search and marketplace information

Search terms and applicable search options are sent to the PriceSpan server so that it can request authorized listing information from participating marketplace providers.

Marketplace providers may process requests under their own privacy policies and terms. When you select a marketplace listing, you leave PriceSpan and visit the marketplace’s website or application. PriceSpan does not control the marketplace’s privacy practices or transaction process.

5. Technical information

PriceSpan and the services used to operate it may automatically process limited technical information necessary to deliver and secure the service. This may include an IP address, device or browser type, request date and time, requested page, and error information.

PriceSpan does not currently use third-party analytics, behavioral advertising trackers, or advertising cookies.

PriceSpan may transmit information to authorized marketplace APIs and service providers when necessary to provide requested functionality. PriceSpan may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, PriceSpan, or others.

PriceSpan does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Data retention

PriceSpan intends to retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service or satisfy legal obligations. Locally stored information remains on your device until you remove it or your browser removes it.

PriceSpan uses reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to its current development stage. However, no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children’s privacy

PriceSpan is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. PriceSpan does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can review and address the matter.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights concerning your personal information. Because PriceSpan does not currently maintain user accounts, we may need information from you to locate and verify any data associated with a request.

PriceSpan may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when material updates are made.
