PriceSpan’s role

PriceSpan is a marketplace discovery and comparison product. PriceSpan does not currently sell the products displayed in search results, process marketplace payments, hold inventory, or become a party to transactions between buyers, sellers, and marketplaces.

Selecting a result sends the user to the original marketplace, where the user can review the full listing and complete any transaction.

Authorized marketplace access

PriceSpan intends to obtain listing information only through official APIs, approved affiliate feeds, direct partnerships, demonstration data, or other methods authorized by the applicable marketplace.

PriceSpan does not authorize scraping, circumventing access controls, reverse-engineering private marketplace feeds, or violating marketplace terms.

Current marketplace availability

The private testing version currently includes authorized eBay listing information and may include clearly labeled demonstration listings used to test future marketplace features.

“Demo Marketplace” is not a real marketplace, seller, partnership, or offer to purchase. Demo results are fictional test data and should not be treated as purchasable listings.

Marketplace independence

Marketplace names, trademarks, listing images, descriptions, and other marketplace content are owned by their respective owners.

Unless expressly stated in writing, displaying a marketplace or listing does not mean that the marketplace endorses, sponsors, certifies, or is affiliated with PriceSpan.

eBay listings

eBay results displayed by PriceSpan are obtained through authorized eBay developer services. Users should verify the current price, availability, condition, shipping, seller information, and complete terms on the original eBay listing.

eBay and the eBay logo are trademarks of eBay Inc. PriceSpan is independently developed and is not endorsed, sponsored, or certified by eBay Inc.

Prices and shipping

PriceSpan may calculate an estimated total using the item price and shipping information supplied by a marketplace.

When a marketplace does not provide shipping information, the displayed amount may include only the item price. Taxes, marketplace fees, negotiated prices, location-dependent costs, and other charges may not be included.

Always verify the final price on the original marketplace before purchasing.

Sorting and filters

PriceSpan allows users to sort or filter loaded listings by factors such as marketplace, displayed price, condition, delivery method, and location options.

A low-to-high sort applies only to the listings PriceSpan has loaded and does not prove that the first result is the lowest price available across the internet or the marketplace’s entire inventory.

Possible duplicate listings

PriceSpan may use automated title comparisons to identify listings that could describe the same or similar products. A duplicate indicator is an estimate and may be incorrect.

Users should independently review model numbers, specifications, condition, included accessories, seller information, and listing details.

Local pickup

Local-pickup and distance features depend on the capabilities and information provided by each marketplace. A local-pickup option shown in the interface does not mean that every participating marketplace supports location-based results.

PriceSpan does not supervise local transactions or verify meeting locations, buyers, sellers, or products.

Affiliate compensation

PriceSpan does not currently represent that every marketplace link is an affiliate link.

If PriceSpan later earns a commission from a qualifying referral or purchase, an appropriate disclosure will be displayed near the applicable links or elsewhere in the application as required. Affiliate compensation will not increase the marketplace price solely because a user arrived through PriceSpan.

Listing availability

Marketplace listings can change, expire, sell, or be removed at any time. PriceSpan does not guarantee continued availability of search or saved results.
